Men's Track and Field Outdoor Season Opens with Day One of the W&L Carnival LEXINGTON, Va. -The Washington and Lee University men's track and field team opened up the 2023 outdoor season with 11 top-8 finishes across five events on Friday night. Jorge Soto-Ventura (Calhoun, Ga. / Calhoun) posted a toss of 42.12 meters to place fourth and Evan Novak (Jacksonville, Fla. / Providence) and Adam Roy (Bedford, N.H. / Bedford) followed him with 41.89m and 38.80m, respectively. A trio of throwers advanced into the finals heat of the hammer to take fourth, sixth and seventh.
