DARTMOUTH — They spent their day Monday bleaching embryos, setting up DNA digests and learning how to determine different blood types. It's an interesting summer job for New Bedford High School students who are learning from college professors specializing in bioengineering to help prepare for their future careers. The paid internships at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth are sponsored by the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center, an economic development and investment agency with a mission of supporting the growth and development of the life sciences in Massachusetts.
